Nurse Gubbay died on 17th May, 1942. She is recorded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as Sallie Gubby, and her age is given as 54 so she must have been born in about 1888.
She is buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Happy Valley. The inscription on her grave says her husband was David Sassoon Gubbay. Their daughter, I think, became Lady Kadoorie.
