Helen Ho was the daughter of Ethel Zimmern (In Fong) and Ho Lu. She studied at the Diocesan Girls School.

During the Japanese occupation she was tireless in arranging relief, both legal and secret, for the camps, especially Bowen Road Miitary Hospital. She was imprisoned on three occasions for this, but survived the war to be honoured with an OBE.

It's unlikely that anything like the the full extent of her wartime services will ever be known.

She was alive in 2008 but has since died.

I wonder if the Helen Ho mentioned above is a different person?

Several accounts (eg https://gwulo.com/node/58678) mention that the Helen Ho who helped POWs was the sister of Yvonne Ho. They are described on page 34 of Peter Hall's In The Web, 2012 edition:

No. 8 Florence, married Ho Cheuk, a younger brother of Ho Kwong. They had five daughters:

Helen, Kathleen, Yvonne, Elaine and Mamie. They also had a son Charles, who died in his youth.

Or have you seen that the Helen Ho born in 1915, and shown in the family tree on page 225 of the same book, was also active in supporting people in the camps?
