Colonel Noma Kennosuke was the head of the Kempetai (Gendarmes) from the establishment of Japanese rule in Hong Kong in late 1941 to February 1945.
He was tried for war crimes between December 24, 1946 and February 24, 1947, sentenced to death and executed by hanging at Stanley Prison on May 27, 1947.
