Looking for Roger Houghton

Hi,

I am looking for the contact details of a good friend of mine, Roger B Houghton, who I know has contributed to this website. We were in the HK police force together in 1960's. I am in hK until beginning of April and would like to touch base with him. Any help much appreciated. Thanks Steve Fleming

Maybe you'll remember sharing a flat in Belsize Park and the night Lester Perskie tried to pull your rods down, whilst you were throwing up in the bog !! Carlton Towers, I think it was.

I am a PhD student researching the history of the British trade with China and the Canton Factory in the early nineteenth century.

I am trying to get in touch with Roger B. Houghton, whose work on old Hong Kong and the Canton newspapers, especially A People’s History 1793–1844 from the newspapers, is very relevant to my research.

I understand from this page that Roger contributed to Gwulo, and that Steve Fleming was looking for him some years ago. If anyone is still in contact with Roger, or knows how a message might be passed on to him, I would be very grateful.
