For over 2 decades, I lived in a building next to the Tramway Staff Quarters or dormitory which housed not only drivers, conductors (before conversion to one-man operation) and even inspectors. It covered a whole block, bounded by King's Road, Tin Chiu Street, Tsat Tze Mui Road and Healthy Street West. The building was demolished in the 70s and replaced by Healthy Gardens. It was only about 4-storeys high and there was a huge roof covering the entire building
Great, thankyou for your help. I appreciate that because I couldn't find anything.
Are there any photos of this building ?
I am researching the history of my old master, Wong Cheung, who I have been informed ran a martial arts (Kung Fu) class at this venue, as several of his students were working for the Tramway company. Do you remember this ?
There is insufficient information about your old master. We do not even have his name in Chinese. Or, that was before my time.
Anyway, if you use "Wong Cheung +功夫" as keywords in Google you should be able to find some information which may or may not be relevant. Please see if those are useful.
yes, the Kung Fu master I'm researching is called Wong Cheung / 黃祥. I understand that in the 1950s he taught at both the Tramways (HKT) employee dormitory in North Point and at the Sharp Street Tramway depot in Wan Chi. Any information regarding him would greatly be appreciated please. If anyone has any photos also, please

Building's name
The English maps (e.g. Map: 1965.1 Hong Kong at https://www.hkmaps.hk/viewer.html) show it as Tramways Staff Quarters.
The Chinese name is shown written Left-Right on the 1957 map: https://gwulo.com/node/60571#17~22.29156~114.20393~Map_by_GovHK-Markers… and R-L on the 1958 map: https://gwulo.com/node/60571#17~22.29156~114.20393~Map_by_GovHK-Markers…
