THE DEATH OF MR. HUGH WATT, MANAGER OF THE SAILORS’ HOME AND SEAMEN’S INSTITUTE IN WANCHAI, OCCURRED YESTERDAY IN THE WAR MEMORIAL NURSING HOME.
The funeral will take place today, the cortege passing the Monument at 5 p.m., and the Rev. Cyril Brown will conduct the service at the graveside.
The late Mr. Watt was 56 years of age and had resided in the Colony for some 16 years. He was widely known in shipping circles and along the China Coast.
He was formerly connected with the old Mission to Seamen.
