In 1842, with reference to the Friend of China and Hongkong Gazette printed on 25 AUG, on the same place was the office of Mr Edward Francomb with the address of 1 Magistracy Street.
Then, in 1845, as seen on a map, a building named 'Edwards' lied on the same location and this should be the office of Mr Francomb. However, that time, the name of the street had been already changed to Arbuthnot Road.
Just wondering if the marker for 15 Arbuthnot Road be placed closer to the Magistracy than near to the top where Arbuthnot Road meets up with Caine Road?
For the numbering of the building I went off the 1901 map which shows the building here as 15 Arbuthnot Road. This may refer to the 1st building on the site rather than this one -I'm sure this area was renumbered repeatedly.

Marker location
Looking at the photos of this building, the marker is at the right location, so it's the street number that doesn't match today's maps.
Perhaps this section of Arbuthnot Road was re-numbered at some point?
15 Arbuthnot Road
Looked at the 1938 Street Index, 7-13 Arbuthnot Road exists but not 15 Arbuthnot Road. Did it have a Caine Road address instead?
