Route Twisk Corruption Scandal & A.J. Clifford
In my Forum Topic the "Route TWISK Corruption Scandal " I wrote quite extensively about A. J Clifford who was the defence lawyer for army officers charged with corruption. Midway through the trial Clifford was murdered leading to initial, but incorrect, speculation that his was death linked to the case.

Thank you “annpake”. I’m so glad that you noticed how I was struggling with John Clifford’s D.O.B. Thanks to your help, I will now fill in the details you have provided for our Gwulo colleagues.
It was wonderful how you picked up on that mention of Sheila, and used it to provide marriage details. It seems that, following his arrival there in 1946, John Clifford had returned from H.K. to the U.K. in 1950 to marry Sheila.
Perhaps too late to be of help now, but I might mention how John’s father was Capt. C. Clifford who, in 1925, was living at Longmead, Burnham, Bucks.
Thanks again for helping us all out with your generous talent for freely supplying valuable information, Michael “essarem”.
