Thank you simtang for the feedback and the photo of the theatre. If the news article is dated Jan 8, my understanding of the Chinese phrase left title column means "working towards opening date". In the middle of the article, the 4-word phrase informs that "an (unknown) day in the near future will be the opening day". It has been many years when I last read these words so I could be wrong.
