The U-shaped building can be seen on the 1956 map of Kowloon. Also 1938 Duke Street Map.
The building is where Mr. Jan's "home church" for the neighborhood kids was run at the 5 Duke Street "mansion" that Rev. Parker mentioned in his 1940 publication in Arizona Highways magazine.
The photo below shows the "sitting room" on the 2nd floor of the building.
The shape, outline and blueprint of the building was better shown in the 1938 map of Duke Street if not the 1950s map of Duke Street instead of this 1970 map with four wings of 32 stories high apartment high rises-Dutchy Heights. I doubt very much that any of the individuals and/or families in this digitized old black and white photo had ever had the priviledge to live inside one of the flats in these four wings of high rises apartment buildings.

The north side of Duke…
The north side of Duke Street in 1938:
The map shows that Number 5 was built on Kowloon Inland Lot 2176.
That Lot was first sold at a government auction on 6 May 1929, (see GA 1929 (suppl) no.140), so the building was likely built in the early 1930s.
