I wonder if 'Kitty Fox'  was Kate BIRKETT?  As a child in Hong Kong I had a friend called Maud Birkett who had an elder sister whose name I think was Kate.  They were a Naval Dockyard family. Maud married young, a man named FOX, I think he was a Naval Dockyard employee.

Maud was on the same evacuation ship in 1940 as I was, she had with her a small daughter called Josephine.

As far as I know, she didnt return to Hong Kong after the war.

Yes, mystery cleared up. Kitty  Tuck was married to Ernest Tuck  who was my Godfather. He was always called Chan after a well known tailor  in HK  at that time  Kitty and Ernest  had a daughter Jennifer. Kitty was not Eurasian  but she did ship back to England from Australia during the war. Ernest Tuck was in Government service Customs Department and went into SSP Camp  He was   in HKVDC.  The Tuck family came back to HK after the war  

What I did not know was that Kitty ( Kate )  Tuck was nee Birkett and  her sister Maud Fox was obviously nee Birkett   too   Thanks for that Barbara .  And that the  Birketts were a Naval Dockyard family .  Hence Maud's marriage to a manager G H R Fox in the Dockyard  sounds right   The Fox family did not return to HK after the war as far as I know
