Reginald Mattingly was the solicitor of my grandfather, Charles Edward Warren and also named in his Will as one of the Trustees of his Estate and potential guardians of his infant children in the event of his death. Mattingly became a partner in Deacon, Harston and Shenton on 7 March 1924 according to the Government Gazette. He had previously been with Deacons (which I think was a different company). His father, Frederick Mattingly was a solicitor in London. I don't think Mattingly had been in Hong Kong more than about 10 years when he died, but by 1925 he was a member of the Chamber of the Legislative Council. His address is first given as the Peak Hotel and he died at the Repulse Bay Hotel. I haven't found a private address for him. The newspapers only have an obituary notice for him rather than a report of a funeral. It appears beneath the birth announcement of Charles Warren's granddaughter, Diana.
