JB Coughtrie moved to Terra Verte, Richmond Road, Westpoint district Christmas 1887. He described the house as newly built when he and his family moved in.

The Kadoorie (aka 'Kelly') family were living here around the start of the twentieth century, when the building was named 'Terra Verde':
