I also found another set of marker stones not very far from your spot. It is sitting somewhere down below the catchwater drain further up of the HK trail. The locatiion is approximate in below map.
Two stones are lying there side by side; and I could only make out the letters D F L or D E L from the inscription. Given its close proximity to the Old Dairy Farm Site below, I wonder if it is referring to "Dairy Farm Land".
The other letters could be the same kind of marking "L L" as the marker stone you discovered.

Dairy Farm Lot
Perhaps the stones refer to the boundary of the Dairy Farm Lot (D.F.L.) and the adjacent Inland Lot (I. L.) number.
