Morley took part in the escape from Sham Shui Po POW camp with L T Ride. Here's an extract from my brother Edwin's book:

Ride was out in search of a man he knew to be a good swimmer to join the team when by chance he ran into Lieutenant D. W. Morley and Sub-Lieutenant D. F. Davies, both members of the Hong Kong Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, whom he had known on the teaching staff at Hong Kong University. Morley had been lecturer in engineering and Davies lecturer in physics. Ride, Morley, and Davies did not share common interests and Ride had not previously considered them for the escape. However, on an impulse he told them of his plans and was surprised when, after talking over the chances, they agreed to join him. Although the three were unlikely team-mates, they had two important attributes in common: a conviction that the chances of surviving an escape were just as good as those of surviving in Sham Shui Po, and the will to give it a try.
