I wonder if anyone has any records, stories, diaries or any other source of information refering to private meteorological stations in Hong Kong other than the Royal/Hong Kong Observatory and if so,were there records ever published? And if so,where?
For modern day ones with semi-automatic equipments you may take a look at Weather Underground. Lots of self-taught enthusiasts purchase Internet ready weather stations of any kind and put them up at home or at work in the past decade or two. Most are updated automatically. More recently there are schools forming a community network and work with the Hong Kong Observatory providing comunity weather information.
For older records.... I believe Universities are good candidates as they usually have faculty of Geography. Some better established secondary school might have their own weather corner in campus.
