Lily was a school teacher, and taught at the King’s College in Hong Kong. She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1930, at which time she was a senior mistress at King’s College and her husband Alfred Morris was headmaster. She returned from England to HK in mid-1948, but died in January, 1949. Her funeral took place at the Colonial Cemetery on 10th January, but her body was later cremated. Not sure where her ashes were placed.
In the "Hong Kong Government Gazette 1907", Report of the inspector of schools, for the year 1906, it mentioned " STAFF APPOINTMENTS - Mrs. Morris, 2nd Mistress of the Victoria School ( Victoria British School ) from 1st February 1906
