One 'H. S. Watson' is said to have played a role in the October 1942 escape from Hong Kong of the HSBC bankers Fenwick and Morrison. I think this must be H. C. Watson with the second initial misremembered (by Fenwick). Mr. Watson was one of those Dairy Farm employees who agreed rf were forced to stay out of Stanley during the occupation to look after the Farm's herd.

His full name was Hugh Cameron Watson.
He retired from the Dairy Farm in 1951 and moved to South Africa where his wife was born.
There is a gravestone for a man of that name in a South African graveyard, and if this the same person Mr Watson was born in 1903 and died in 1960:
