Does anyone have additional information and pictures about these two old houses?
I was only able to find out that Villa Ellenbud was constructed in 1939 and used as Nurses' Quarters for the nearby Queen Mary Hospital until it has returned to the Wu family in 1960. Who is the Wu family that owned this house?
I could not find any information about Point Breeze. The Streetview shows the staff quarters of Villa Ellenbud, which are currently occupied according to one source. Neither the main house of Villa Ellenbud or Point Breeze appear on Streetview. I wish Bing Maps has birds-eye views of HK.

Re: Villa Ellenbud, Sasson Road
Hi there,
I believe Villa Ellenbud is visible in street view:

I think the door is part of it despite it's main gate might be down below according to the map. A site visit could clear it up though.

Re: Villa Ellenbud
You're right, tngan. On closer inspection, I think much of the main house is visible. I believe the green, two-level, roofed structure is connected to the main house.
Well, I guess this rules out Villa Ellenbud as the house used in TVB series that I asked about a couple weeks ago
re: Point Breeze
I've moved it out to its own Place.
Re: Main Entrace of Villa Ellenbud
Hi there,
Here's a photo of the main entrace of Villa Ellenbud, also taken during my Sassoon Road walk. I didn't realize it until I saw the Chinese Name of Villa Ellenbud in Google Map.
The gateway is sort of Chinese, with the name of the villa in ancient scripts. There is a service road straght down.
#52 is on its left, the greenish house:
The windows looked quite old, but somehow I had a feeling that the roof is very likely not the original roof. There is also a covered car inside. It looked very much the same as in the Google Street View.
Best Regards,

Sold for $550M
Looks like Villa Ellenbud has been sold for $550M. I don't suppose you spend that much to preserve it.
