Greetings. A guess if the timing does not contradict - The word-ads on the walls might be a right clue. They look like backlanes to me and their business were on the opposite side.

I have a vague memory of these signs from my Nathan Road bus and if true mine would be 1950-51 to school. Regards, Peter
