Photograph taken during filming of 'The World of Suzie Wong' film. A serviceman in the Royal Air Force, stationed at R.A.F. Little Sai Wan took two photographs when he came across the film unit working at Aberdeen. I bought the two images on eBay when I noticed that the star, William Holden was accompanied, not by Nancy Kwan, the eventual star but by Frances Nuyen. Frances Nuyen had originally starred in the 1958 Broadway stage production of the story but while the 1960 film was being made she was replaced by Nancy Kwan. I have given this and the accompanying photograph to Gwulo. See Forum for more details.

Not Nancy kwan
Nancy Kwan looks to have been added to this image incorrectly. As stated in the comments under the photo, this shows France Nuyen shooting her abandoned scenes for the Suzie Wong movie.
David or Andrew, can you remove the reference?
Hi Phil, I have tried…
Hi Phil,
I have tried deleting the reference to Nancy Kwan and then adding Frances Nuyen and William Holden, but it doesn't work, so I must be doing something wrong. Over to you David.

The person page connection has gone, Andrew, so either David worked his magic or you were successful after all.
