Allan Kirk, scoutmaster of the Third Hong Kong troop (First Wanchai) was an engineer with the Public Works Department in 1922. He may have run The Towers, 20 Broadwood Road as a boarding house when it was remortgaged. I don't know anything else about him, except that he would certainly have known my aunt, Evelyn Warren from their respective involvement in the scouts and guides and, in the relatively small community of engineers, he would have known my uncle, Leslie Warren, after Leslie's return to Hong Kong after his father's death in 1923.
