Bill took this photograph of the block next to the Mess, and it was known as Block 2. He took it from the front balcony of his billet, Block 3. It also appears on the next photograph that was taken down near the small beach and it was demolished some years later, possibly so that the Riding School building could be built on that site. Its external appearance and the chimneys suggest that it is older than Block 3 and possibly out-dated and in poor condition. (Andrew S)
