Five rickshaws in rain.

Five rickshaws in rain.

I can just make out FIVE rickshaws or parts of them on this very small stretch of one of the Wanchai streets.  I think tram tracks are just visible so it might have been Hennessy Road. Rickshws, with quite good protection from the rain when the apron was in use, came into their own for passengers on such days - but not for the men pulling them! I've dated it as a typical midsummer monsoon day.  (Andrew S)

Looks like the premises of Yee Hing (Tomey & Co) may have stayed in the same location post war as noted here . The upper signboard appears the same as pre-war.

So that would be on Des Voeux Road, Central. Is there an appropriate pin already on the map? Andrew

No there isn't. The building has been demolished. So will wait for David's thoughts on possible creation. Cheers.

Agreed, Andrew
