Kam Tin. | Gwulo: Old Hong Kong

Kam Tin.

Kam Tin.

This view is easily recognised nowadays.  I have a feeling that the buldings on the left of the road housed one of the cafes or bars patronised by some of the 367 SU airmen, who were based at Sek Kong.  In a later gallery, I hope to come across a photograph that will confirm this. Trees have now been planted alongside the moat.

Thank you Moddsey for another interesting photograph.  What a shame another one wasn't taken from this spot but to the right so as to include the Happy Home store etc..  Hindsight is wonderful!  However, in the right background, the unmistakable tower of the walled village is clearly visible so that definitely fixes the location.
