Star Ferry Miniature.jpg

I knew there was “Star Ferry” miniature showing above, produced by 80M ( in Hong Kong). Though this was a beautiful die-cast model, regrettably its size is too small (14.5cm, 1:230).

Any member knows larger size of the miniature on the detailed “Star Ferry”?

There is at least one large model (3 feet long?) on a window sill on the upper concourse of the 'new' Star Ferry concourse on Hong Kong side. Part of a permanent exhibition of Star Ferry artifacts

Thanks!!!

But…3 feet long model?

It’s too large…. I meant the suitable size placing on the desk at den.

I have kept a lot of die-cast automobile scale models, and put one of them on the desk alternately, sometimes “old Land Rover” and sometimes “old Mustang”….and I understood 1/18 size of the automobile was the best one on the desk.

As for Star Ferry scale model, as its length is approx.33 meters (110 feet), so I guess the suitable size of “Star Ferry” putting on the desk may be 1/100, 33cm ( 13 inches).

And if possible, I want to request the screw rotating and lighting system.

I have engaged to produce some submarine die-cast scale model, considering the retailing price, it will be less than US$ 400 (producing 2,000 pieces), if it planned to produce in China. And I do want “one”, if some toy maker could try to produce it.
