Re: Lido Lady
HK Daily Press 24 November 1939
The 'Lido Lady' was damaged during the freak typhoon to hit Hong Kong on 23 November 1939. She broke adrift from her moorings and ended up on the rocks at Middle Island as a complete wreck. She was never replaced.
Commissioned in August 1935
The "Lido Lady" was constructed at Kowloon Docks. The Hong Kong Telegraph 19 August 1935 advised the diving float with white hulk complete with springboards and a 30 foot chute was ready for operation in a few days time.
