A close-up of the wrecked crane. The brakes failed as the crane was being moved down the track from the FPS8 site to the FPS6 site. Fortunately the temporary driver who was standing in for Jim Cook was not injured. The crane was eventually recovered by a team of Royal Engineers. The almost completed FPS 8 tower can be seen in the background.
