I took this in early July,1972, from the Kowloon terminal of the Star Ferry, which you can see to the left. That view has certainly changed radically in the intervening years,hasn't it?
Until a few days ago, I hadn't thought much about Hong Kong for years-then I sold a rather unlikely item on eBay to someone in HK, and out of curiousity, looked at their address on Google. I quickly realized I could "walk around' some of my old haunts with Streetview. I really wasn't prepared for the immense changes, and I dug out all my old photos to compare with how it looked now. These photos from the 1970s are so distant now, they may as well be in the 1870s,for most people looking at them. For me, it really just seems like a few years ago I was standing there snapping photos.
