The predecessor of La Salle College, the mother school of Bruce Lee.

Built in 1917, now Windsor Mansion 29-31 Chatham Road South (source)

It's the building north of Lyeemoon Villas (see 1920 map). It was demolished together with the villas in 1929/30 to make way for Lyemun Flats.

On Flickr the date given is 1934.

I'm quite sure that the date is 1927 or early 1928. Peninsula Hotel was finished in 1927, and the tower on Signal Hill received a coupola in the second quarter of 1928 - it's not on the photo.

In the 1920s, the RAF had temporary facilities in Cameron Road on K.I.L.'s 417,418. and 524.

Hong Kong Daily Press from 1928-04-23 reports:

The entire engine repair section of the Royal Air Force and six men from the Kai Tack Aerodrome left by the s.s. Bellerophon for home. There are about 72 men in all and they are sailing under the command of Flight Officer Jones, the only officer among the party.

Took this photo from my room at the Panorama Hotel (8A,Hart Ave.).

Early Sunday morning. I think domestic helpers, probably from the Philippines, are holding a Christian mass on Signal Hill.

At the upper part of the photo, the former saluting battery can be seen with concrete supports for the guns.

1930s TST Signal Hill

Think that 1930 is a good estimate for this photo.

Left is Holt's Wharf, then Signal Hill with (I guess) Signal Hill Battery/Blackhead Fort. The tower has its cupola, so its definitely between 1928 and 1933. Can't see the lighthouse.

Right of the hill are houses, likely DeJongh family residence, and then buildings under construction: Lyemun Flats / Lyemun Buildings / Harbour View Hotel.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

A terrace of two-storey houses on Cameron Road. Probably built around 1895 (together with other houses in this newly developed area) and replaced by four-storey buildings in the early 1920s (??). New houses on a 1927 photo.
