Douglas Building, 24 & 24A Connaught Road Central [1900-1952]

Looking at the 1901 photo below, I think this was the first building built along this stretch of Connaught Road after the reclamation in the 1890s.

Also based on the photo, I'll guess its completion date as 1900.

Demolition date also a guess, based on the date of the next building on the site.

The street index from 1938 refers that the Ornate Building was named Douglas Building and had numbers 24 and 24A.

The house numbers 24-25 are valid for The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Building [1954- ]. For this new building, house no. 25 was demolished.
