Andrew Simpson was a civil servant attached to the H. M. Dockyard. Not sure of his actual duties but on his POW Card he held the rank of Sergeant.
He married Francis Vera Stroud, secretary to H. M. Trade Commissioner on 29 April 1939 at the Registry.
After the fall of Hong Kong he was interned at Sham Shui Po and Argyle Street Camps. He was later shipped to Oeyama POW Camp, Osaka. His wife was interned at Stanley Camp.

Felix Maurice Ellis was a stockbroker.
He enlisted in the HKVDC in July 1940 and was a Lance Corporal (4550). After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned at Sham Shui Po Camp. His other family members were interned at Stanley Camp.
His name is listed incorrectly in Hong Kong War Diary under HKVDC as "Felix Morris Ellis". He died in 1949 and is buried in the Jewish Cemetery at Happy Valley.

Simon Edward Hedges Eyre White was Lieutenant-Colonel and Commanding Officer of 2nd Bn The Royal Scots during the Battle of Hong Kong.
He married Violet Studdert in 1931. She appears to have styled her name as Violet Simon-White
After the fall of Hong Kong, Lt. Col. White was interned at Argyle Street Camp. His wife was interned at Stanley Camp.

George White was formerly the head of the Engineering Department at Plymouth Technical College, U. K. He joined the Education Department on 11 November 1932 as a technical supervisor and formulated plans for a system of technical education in Hong Kong.
He later became the Government Trade School's first principal. The School held its first courses in February 1937 and was formally opened by Governor Northcote on 13 April 1938.
In April 1941, George White was appointed Controller of Land Transport.
In 1941 he was a Lieutenant in the HKVDC.

In the 1941 Jurors List, Thomas Fletcher Stainton, DCM* was a timekeeper at the Taikoo Sugar Refinery. He was also a Sergeant (3093) in the No. 2 Company (Scottish) of the HKVDC.
He married Daisy Elizabeth Minnie Wilson, nursing sister of Queen Mary Hospital at St. John's Cathedral on 23 July 1940. In 1940, he resided at No. 9 Braemar Terrace.
After the fall of Hong Kong, he was in Bowen Road Hospital and later interned at Sham Shui Po Camp. His wife was interned at Stanley Camp.

During the hostilities Vivian Ferrier served as a Warrant Officer in the HKRNVR
W/O Vivian Ferrier HKRNVR was married to ANS Nurse Olga Ferrier.
Following the ceasefire Vivian Ferrier was a PoW at North Point and then Shamshuipo.
Frank Buckle was the chief instructor in engineering at the Government Trade School at Wood Road, Wanchai. He was also an Engineer/Lieutenant in the HKRNVR.
He arrived in Hong Kong in November 1936 after having served as chief engineer in the Marine Department in Nyasaland. In 1937, he resided at 11 Gap Road.
Frank Buckle married Majorie Dobson, nursing sister of the War Memorial Nursing Home at the Peak Church on 18 April 1941.
After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned as a Prisoner-of-War.
