Sometimes known as Elsie Fairfax-Cholmondely.

English radical who eventually married Israel Epstein. She renounced her passport and lived long-term in Communist China as a 'foreign expert'. During the Cultural Revolution she took part in the sacking of the British Embassy in Beijing and danced up and down in her patent leather brogues on a picture of Queen Elizabeth 11.
