60-61A Connaught Road Central [c.1905-c.1975]

Three houses built on Marine Lot53 (east). Were taken as a group because all three have arched balconies on second floor (no other houses have these). Probably built at the same time as the houses further east on reclaimed land, so 1905 was guessed.

To get an impression about the buildings here is a map together with a photo from around 1930

47-50 Connaught Road Central [c.1905-c.1975]

Four houses built on Marine Lot 18, the address is 47-50 Connaught Road Central. Probably built at the same time as the houses further east on reclaimed land, so 1905 was guessed. These are the first houses west of Jubilee Street.

These four houses were grouped together because they are shorter compared to the other ones further west.

To get an impression about the buildings here is a map together with a photo from around 1930.

189, Des Voeux Road Central ( Li Po Chun Chambers - 1st gen.) [c.1958-c.1993]

Building east of the Harbour Office (4th gen.). It streches out from Des Voeux Road Central to Connaught Road (then waterfront), the additional address is 92-97 Connaught Road. It appears first on the 1957 map on hkmaps.hk as "building under construction". On the roof it had a sign "SEIKO".

It was replaced by Li Po Chun Chambers that opened in 1995, so it was probably demolished in 1993.

Addendum 2022-12-30: The 1960 map also gives the name of the building as " Li Po Chun Chambers", so both buildings had the same name.
