Eric MacNider's diary uses the spelling 'Booten', but John Black's list and the BAAG Stanley Nominal Roll show him as "H de V Bootin". Black gives date of birth as 1891, and occupation in 1941 as "Merchant".

He appears in three years' Jurors Lists.
