A dedicated batgung reader has tipped me off with regard to an excellent clip on youtube. It's a 1938 travelogue feature on Hong Kong. The video quality and audio are both very clear, and although the scenes filmed are a bit stereotyped at times, there's enough there to provide some excellent views of the many parts of the territory, and lots of people/street scenes. I noted that the film maker seemed to have a bit of a fascination for local ladies in cheongsams, but I can't say I blame him for that. Anyway, have a look!
