Two new seven-storey blocks replacing the temporary two-storey buildings erected after the Shek Kip Mei fire, October 1957.
Looking north along Nam Cheong street. There was a pawn shop called Wo Ong Pawn at the south-east corner of Berwick st - Nam Cheong st junction at 218 nam cheong street. We can see two of the blocks of the estate north of the shop.

St Thomas' Primary School
The original St Thomas' Primary School is left of frame. The building is still around.

another one
This one is looking east along Berwick street. There was the St Thomas church at 43 berwick street which still exists today. The junction east of the church is the Nam Cheong st junction.

I took a photo from around the same location as Simtang's original above to show readers how much has changed. As you can see, the building on the left (the original St. Thomas Primary School) is still around.
