1946 Fanling Babies' Home

This is an early picture of the Home. It's definitely post 1945 but not straight after the war as the girls are looking quite well.  The older ones here would have been the first babies who were taken in in 1936, so aged about 10 or 11.  I have a note that there were 61 children in the Home in July 1946, so as there are only 40 children here,  I'm going for first half of 1946.  At the start of the War there were some 98 babies in hand, but all the youngest died during the hard war years, as is evidenced by this picture.
