King Kalakaua of Hawaii visited Hong Kong in 1881 and attended a lunch at Paul Chater's bungalow in Kowloon. Afterwards photographs were taken in the garden, Paul Chater seen here with the King and other guests. Present here were Paul Chater, governor John Hennessy, the king and members of legislative council.
