When R E Jones, on 9 February 1944, said that he "Wrote music for Eve" I suspect he refers, not to a person called Eve, but to a piece of literature which he is setting to music. Do you know of further information about Jones? Was he or did he become an established composer? If so is there a list of his musical works?
If you look through the other entries in his diary that mention Eve (see https://gwulo.com/node/16064/whatlinkshere), it is more obvious that he is referring to a lady.
