HONGKONG WEDDING. Logan—Jack.
A very pretty wedding of two well-known and highly respected residents of the Peninsula, was solemnised at St. John’s Cathedral yesterday morning. The bride was Miss Jessie Jack, daughter of the late Mr.W. C. Jack and of Mrs. Jack, of 1 Canton Villas, Kowloon, and the bridegroom Mr. Robert Spiers Logan, executive engineer of the Public Works Department.
Considerable interest was taken in the ceremony, many friends of the parties attending the Cathedral ceremony, which was conducted by the Chaplain, the Rev. Copley Moyle.
The bride was charmingly attended in embroidered white charmeuse and carried a bouquet of beautiful white roses and maidenhair fern. She was attended by Miss Wilson whose dress was of salmon pink georgette with black picture hat and who carried a bouquet composed of pink sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Betty Jean Spalding and Jimmy Logan were two pretty little pages, the former being dressed in salmon pink georgette and the latter in cream serge.
Mr. C. W. E. Bishop attended the bridegroom in the capacity of best man.
During the service suitable music was played by the Cathedral organist, Mr. Denman Fuller.
A reception was afterwards held at the Hongkong Hotel, where the newly-wedded pair received the congratulations of a large circle of friends. They left later for Repulse Bay. where the honeymoon is being spent.
