Florence Margaret Fowler (Flo), was born and bred in Hong Kong where she lived with her family until after the War. She was a prisoner in Stanley for the duration. In 1948 she married our Father, Henry Stuart Martin in Hong Kong and then travelled to Africa and later England. Our Mother passed away in Australia in 1995.
Thanks for the extra information. I've updated the details above. If you can add any information about your mother's time in Hong Kong and Stanley (notes, stories, photos, etc.), I'll be very interested to see them.
I believe JE and G Fowler were my mother's parents and possibly the other Fowler is the eldest brother. My mother was the youngest of seven. Two of her brothers, not listed, were shipped off to Japan by the Japanese, one sister was a POW in Singapore and the other was a POW with her family in Shanghai. Another brother was a pilot who was shot down and killed by the Japanese in Hong Kong harbour and I'm not sure about the other brother.
I can only presume Henry Stuart Martin was her second husband?

I can see a few more people on the camp list with surname Fowler:

Were any of them part of your family?
