there's also some information here: http://www.cnac.org/emilscott/wrightnooth01.htm with an email address for his secretary here in Hong Kong later, which was still being used in 2011 according to my google search... maybe you could try it again...?

I hadn't read the CNAC site page - it has some good information, thanks. I've just written to its webmaster to see if he knows anything about the anecdotes project.
