Shuster / Taikoo / Swire
Hi Ana,
You'll see I've created a 'Person' record for Fritz Edward Shuster. It's a way to gather information about a person together in one place.
Have you tried contacting the Swire Archive to see if they have any information? Swire used to be called Butterfield & Swire, and were the company that owned the Taikoo Sugar Refinery.

Thanks, Dave. Just wrote Robert an email. Let's see whether I'm lucky.

Fritz Edward died in August 1904, 4 months before the birth of my grandfather, when he fell from the tram

I've added 1869 as his year of birth.
A couple of weeks back at the National Archive I used their free access to Ancestry.co.uk to look up the name, and found an entry for his birth in 1869, between October and December (they only give dates to the nearest quarter). The district given was Poplar, London.
A couple of siblings were also listed as born in Poplar:

Hi David,
Thank you so much for all the info. With your help and of others here at the Gwulo page I manage to get some very interesting information. Wonder if and how I could put it here.
Regards,
Ana
re: Shusters
Hi Ana,
Yes please, I'd love to hear more about your family's time in Hong Kong. I recommend that you add any notes about a person to that person's own page. We currently have pages for three different members of the family.
Regards, David
