He is mentioned several times in John Charter's wartime journal. Charter was interned in Stanley Camp but Devaux was free in Hong Kong.
He may be this man, who appears in the 1936 Jurors' List:

Her surname also appears spelled O'Dell.
Based on her Russian descent, she wasn't interned after the Japanese conquered Hong Kong. Philip has written an interesting summary of her wartime experiences:

Maureen O'Sullivan was the daughter of Thomas and Mary O'Sullivan. She seems to have pre-deceased her brother John who died in 1953.
