Alexander Michael YAZEJY [1893-1969]

Alexander Michael Yazejy was an American merchant and had a business in China. From the links below, Yazejy was initially interned at Stanley Camp in 1942.

He appears to have been transferred to Shanghai in March 1943 and interned at Chapei Camp and released at the end of the Pacific war.

Halsey Hulbert Matteson WILBUR [1912-2001]

Between 1936 and 1942, Halsey Hulbert Matteson Wilbur was employed by the National City Bank of New York  and given various assignments concerned with foreign branch banking.

He was interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated in 1942. After repatriation, he enlisted and joined the United States Marine Corps.

Mary Etta WHITNEY [1910-????]

Mary Etta Whitney aka Etta Whitney was a missionary and pastor and served the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She came to South China and Hong Kong in 1940 and supported the Rev. John Bechtel 

Etta Whitney was interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated to the United States in 1942. After repatriation, she went on speaking tours describing her time during the Japanese occupation.

Henry Randall WHITE [1926-2006]

At the fall of Hong Kong, Henry Randall White was a schoolboy studying at Diocesan Boys' School . He was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942. His parents are not known.

(On the Gripsholm passenger list, a line had been drawn through his name and his details had been transferred to another sheet.)
