Between 1936 and 1942, Halsey Hulbert Matteson Wilbur was employed by the National City Bank of New York and given various assignments concerned with foreign branch banking.
He was interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated in 1942. After repatriation, he enlisted and joined the United States Marine Corps.
Mary Etta Whitney aka Etta Whitney was a missionary and pastor and served the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She came to South China and Hong Kong in 1940 and supported the Rev. John Bechtel
Etta Whitney was interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated to the United States in 1942. After repatriation, she went on speaking tours describing her time during the Japanese occupation.

At the fall of Hong Kong, Henry Randall White was a schoolboy studying at Diocesan Boys' School . He was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942. His parents are not known.

Titus Carr Westbrook worked for British American Tobacco Co. Ltd., in the Far East. He was present during the fall of Hong Kong and later interned at Stanley Camp. He was repatriated in 1942.
Titus Westbrook died in 1943.

Arthur Leroy Watrous belonged to the independent missionaries who worked in South China and Hong Kong. After the fall of Hong Kong, he was interned at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Father Vincent William Walsh belonged to the Maryknoll Mission. He was ordained on 16 June 1937 and later assigned to Wuchow (Wuzhou), China. He was interned in Hong Kong at Stanley Camp and later repatriated to the United States in 1942.

Mrs. Adelaide Van de Veere, formerly a resident of Shanghai arrived in Hong Kong in November 1937. In Prisoner of the Japs, Gwen Dew described Adelaide Van de Veere (aka Bobby) as a "clever saleslady". The Shanghai Evening Post and Mercury mentioned that she formerly worked at the Sea Captain's Shop (location not given).
Whilst in Hong Kong, she qualified to be an ANS Nurse. Hong Kong Daily Press 30 October 1940 refers.
Maclean Ulrich worked as a petroleum technologist for Standard Vacuum Oil Co..
He was interned at Stanley Camp and repatriated in 1942
