Barbara's diary wrote: "One evening, a Mr. Evans from the Royal Observatory gave us a lecture on the stars, on the roof."

My heartfelt appreciation for Barbara to show me her diary about Mr. B.D. Evans, my highly respectable predecessor.

Mr Evans is also well-known for utilizing the back of carefully flattened cigarette packets to record in pencil weather conditions at the Stanley internment camp during 1942-1945 (http://ebook.lib.hku.hk/HKG/B35831637.pdf).
