Island sites on auction list - Derek Yiu

The government plans to include two Hong Kong Island sites worth billions of dollars on the application list this year in response to market calls for premium plots, a source said.
The first site is 8-12 Deep Water Bay Drive and the other is 47 Sassoon Road, the source told Sing Tao Daily, sister publication of The Standard.

Just when we find an interesing, historic site, we find the Government selling off the family jewels - again. To whom ? "market calls for premium plots".
Why sell off the "premium plots" now ? Why can they not be put at the service of the people of Hong Kong ?
Shame on them.
