Three (!) petrol stations in a row - Socony, Texaco/Caltex, and Shell. The stations were situated on a trigangular "island" in front of the junction of Des Voeux Road with Hill Road (see the 1924 map an Gwulo).

Possibly built at the end of the 1920s, they still appear on the 1965.1 map on Hkmaps.hk. This map also shows that the loop of the tram (Whitty Street Tram Terminus) was built around the stations. Around 1970, the area inside the tram loop was reconstructed and the petrol stations (now only two: Shell and Texaco)) were relocated, but still inside the loop. At the end of the 1980s, the area was reconstructed again and the petrol stations were removed.
