The end of Ashley Road is at Haiphong Road. The building on the right is the Haiphong Road Temporary Market (opened 1978, sometimes temporary seems to be pretty permanent).
The gateway is still there and is supposed to lead to a shrine of a local deity, likely the deity overlooking a certain plot of land, commonly called 土地.
The date mentioned is described as approximate. I certainly hope so! It says June 1st, 2021. The date today, as I write this, is May 9th, 2021. Someone has found a Time Machine! WOW!
